Junior Speakers students explore an analytical approach to current events to develop an understanding of their community by doing in-class research activities, group projects and giving short speeches. Students will learn to confidently present well-researched arguments and practice artful speaking skills. Students will compete in a tournament at the end of the first and second semester of the course. Participation in tournaments provide an opportunity for students to experience the benefit of disciplined commitment to learning new skills, winning a trophy!
